POEM: RCA

RCA

cleaning up
an old hard drive
I clicked on
an unlabeled mp3

your voice
rushed from the speakers
punched through my chest
took my breath with it

it shouldn’t
surprise me
but it does
every time

most days are good
some aren’t
I worry the ceiling
is lower than it was
