POEM: He’s sleeping in a hardback chair

He’s sleeping in a hardback chair,
posture perfectly straight,
except for his head,
which droops forward chin to chest.
She crosses the room to stand beside him.
He reaches out one hand,
gently takes hold of her leg just above the knee.
How he did this while sleeping is a mystery
best left for wiser philosophers.
